A Personal Health Update—and a Word of Hope

Over the past several weeks, many friends have graciously asked about my health. Rather than trying to answer everyone individually, I wanted to share this brief video update.

The doctors have confirmed that I am continuing to lose blood, but despite many tests, they have not yet been able to identify the source of the bleeding. While there are still unanswered questions, Becky and I are deeply grateful for the excellent medical care we are receiving and for the countless people who are praying for us. I have been especially touched to learn that many people I have never met are praying on my behalf. Thank you. Your prayers are a true gift.

Last week, one of my physicians said something I will never forget: “I have never met anyone who has experienced as much trauma as you have, yet appears so normal and is able to do what you do.” I received those words with humility and gratitude. They reminded me once again of God’s sustaining grace throughout my life.

In the video, I share one conviction that has only grown stronger through this journey: healing is the love of God and the power of God made manifest in our lives. Whether God works through medicine, skilled physicians, the prayers of His people, or by His miraculous intervention, every expression of healing points us back to His goodness.

I continue to trust the Lord wholeheartedly. I believe I will recover, and until then I want my life to encourage others to place their confidence in Christ.

Thank you for watching, for praying, and for walking this journey with our family. At the end of the video, I pray for everyone who is watching. My prayer is that God’s peace, strength, and healing presence will be with you as well.
