A Big and Blessed Imagination

Still Scene at DawnI was looking at the cross in the sanctuary this morning with joy and confidence. God’s love demonstrated in Christ’s laying down His life for our sins. He gives us boldness to pray with a Holy Spirit inspired imagination. His resurrection confirms the glorious plan of God that delights angels and Christians alike.

When I think of how important each and every one of us is to God’s plan, my imagination soars with possibilities. “Through followers of Jesus like yourselves gathered in churches, this extraordinary plan of God is becoming known and talked about even among the angels! All this is proceeding along lines planned all along by God and then executed in Christ Jesus. When we trust in him, we’re free to say whatever needs to be said, bold to go wherever we need to go.” (Ephesians 3:10–12, The Message)

We’re free to say, bold to go, wherever He needs us! Jesus gives us the desire, the courage and removes the obstructions in the way He has planned for us. So I encourage you to pray boldly with a big and blessed imagination, trusting God to be at work in your dreams. Your success, your legacy, your victory will be determined by the greatness of your faith as you proceed in prayer. May our children and grandchildren speak of the power of God in our generation!

“Make no little plans. They have no magic to stir men’s blood and probably themselves will not be realized. Make big plans. Aim high in hope and work, remembering that a noble, logical diagram once recorded will never die, but long after we are gone will be a living thing, asserting itself with ever-growing insistency. Remember that our [children] and [grandchildren] are going to do things that would stagger us.” David Burnham, Architect

Growthwork – Ask God to remove any obstructions in your mind that hinders your faith! “And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.” (Hebrews 10:19, NLT)
