I’m nodding off, but I wanted to do a brief note.  One of the dear elderly ladies that I pastor was given four days to live.  She was not ready to die.  She and I read scripture together and her eyes shone with a light that wanted to live.  We talked about her upcoming birthday.  We discussed her family and her great faith.  The doctors were afraid that the exploration to find out what was wrong would kill her.  And certainly if they found what was wrong they would not be able to do surgery.  Yesterday the tests were done, today the surgery was done.  The surgeon said she has a beautiful heart and lungs.  She will recover.  We will celebrate a big birthday in just a few days.  To God be the glory!
