Christmas is for Everyone!

On this fourth day of the Christmas Season, my heart is full of joy! This year’s Advent theme was at Woodland was a “A Few of My Favorite Things.” The people, the decorations, the lights, and the gifts of Christmas brought us to the scriptural conclusion, “Christmas is for Everyone!” Every year the world is surrounded by reminders of God’s love.

Praise the Lord, all you nations. Praise him, all you people of the earth. For his unfailing love for us is powerful; the Lord’s faithfulness endures forever. Praise the Lord!” (Psalm 117, NLT)

There is the invitation to everyone to believe the good news of God’s unfailing love and faithfulness! Doesn’t that remind you of the angel’s words on that first Christmas? “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.” (Luke 2:10, NLT)

God’s love has always been reaching down for you and me. Last Saturday evening at Woodland I was looking at the manger in the sanctuary. Suddenly the love and humility of the Incarnation, when God became human in order to save us from our sin, brought me to my knees. He came to be the sacrifice to free us from our sins. He sacrificed himself for all people to free them from their sins.” (1 Timothy 2:6, GW)

To all will receive Him, He forgives and frees us from all our sin. To all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,” (John 1:12, ESV)

During this week of Christmas, remember, Christmas is for you, me, and everyone you know! I pray that you will have the opportunity to share God’s love with someone you know!

Peace!
