Why at I Worship the LORD

The blood of Christ for you!

It is impossible to count God’s blessings. I am so thankful for all the blessing of forgiveness of sins, new life, grace, love, family, healing, and the fellowship of the Church, particularly the church that we worship with, Woodland Church. Forgive the long sentence, but I could fill pages with God’s blessings in my life.

Although, it is perfectly good and appropriate to come to God seeking salvation, deliverance, healing, or victory in some area of life. Worship is all about adoration, loving God for who He is. Like David, I worship the Lord because I love Him. I praise Him because of what He has done in my life.

“Let us go to the sanctuary of the LORD; let us worship at the footstool of his throne.” Psalm 132:7

That is a very powerful verse of scripture. When I normally think of a footstool, it’s about putting my feet up and relaxing with a book and good cup of coffee. In this verse, David is acknowledging that Heaven is where the throne of God is. Earth is where is footstool is. Where God’s feet are His dominion is manifested. That area geographically and spiritually is under the rule and reign of Christ.

I want His footstool in our home and in our church. I welcome his rule and reign in our lives. Don’t you?

Peace!
