“Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.” (Ephesians 6:11, NLT) Isn’t it interesting that the scriptures says the armor is God’s armor. Think about that, we stand against the strategies of the devil not in our wisdom or strategies but in the armor or God. The armor is described as:
- Truth
- Righteousness
- Peace of the Gospel.
- Faith
- Salvation
- Word of God
- Prayer
Jesus is the truth! Jesus in our righteousness! Jesus is the Prince of Peace! My faith is in Jesus! Jesus is our salvation! John describes him as the Word that was with God and is God! And Jesus is our model of prayer.
Tonight, I encourage you to be strong in the Lord and walk close with Christ. When you are in Jesus you can overcome and defeat the devil.
