God’s Unlimited Love

He will tell you how you and everyone in your household can be saved!’” (Acts 11:14, NLT)

Hand with Christian ring on Shoulder smallFor the apostles and the early church it was an amazing shock that God’s Unlimited Love extended beyond the cultural boundaries of the Jewish Church. “The Jewish believers who came with Peter were amazed that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles, too.” (Acts 10:45, NLT) Peter thought and said, “Who was I to stand in God’s way?” (See Acts 11:17)

The Good News of Jesus Christ still amazes me. This morning I was still thinking about God’s initiative to reach the house of Cornelius and then rest of the world. Jesus was never ashamed to be seen with lost people whatever their current state was. He was criticized for it but he wasn’t afraid of how lost and hurting people might hurt his reputation with the Pharisees. No wonder the Bible says that “notorious sinners often came to listen to Jesus teach.” (See Acts 15:1) God is still searching, seeking and rejoicing over the lost person being found and saved.

Just for thought.

  1. How am I cooperating with what God is doing?
  2. Who understands and knows better the love of Christ because of my life today?
  3. Have I lost my passion and energy to share the Good News of Jesus? If so what should I do?
