Proverbs and Work – Chapter One

Happy Labor Day Family,

Yesterday, I began a new series at Woodland about our work. I asked you to read a chapter from Proverbs 1 and to underline or highlight a verse that spoke to you about your work. Tonight our family highlighted three verses.

1. Discipline leads to success. “Their purpose is to teach people to live disciplined and successful lives, to help them do what is right, just, and fair.” vs. 3

2. Earn money honestly. Following a group of passages about honest work, “Come, throw in your lot with us; we’ll all share the loot.” vs. 14

3. Be grateful not greedy. “Such is the fate of all who are greedy for money;
it robs them of life.” vs. 19

Which ones did you underline?

Tomorrow lets read Proverbs 2.

I love you real big!

Pastor
