Do you know that feeling when you’re working on a project and the computer freezes. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard people yell at their computers. Today, one of the ladies from our church sent me an email to tell me she got angry with her computer and growled at it! When that happens we have to push the reset button and restart our computers to get everything working again. Hopefully, we have been saving our spreadsheet or document and we keep making progress. It really doesn’t help to yell or scream at our computer.
Sometimes, it seems we get frozen in life. Our relationship in marriage, with our children, our careers, or our ministries freeze. It doesn’t help to fuss, fume, or scream about our lives, relationships or careers. Instead God’s Word shows us how to do a reset in life. Rather than freeze and feeling sorry for ourselves, we can make a choice to sweep out our past mistakes, failures, negativity or whatever is holding us back. Reset begins with a genuine faith in God. Faith in God is the secret sauce of a successful life. “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6, NLT)
Think about what God’s will for our lives look like? Imagine what it would be like to live in his favor. That’s what God wants for you. Remember he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
