There are some vital relationships in my life that I’ve been reflecting on besides my wife, children and our parents.
First and foremost is my relationship with Jesus Christ! Like St. Augustine, my heart is restless until it rests in you. This vacuum in my heart could only have been filled by Jesus.
Created in the image of God, I crave his fellowship. The truth of it all is he has bridged heaven and earth to reach us through the atoning death of His Son Jesus Christ. The joy of it is the fellowship is more than a fact it is real.
Of course it is humbling to know that I need a Savior. My sin separated me from God. Happily and mercifully God gives me the relationship I need most in life a relationship with Him.
It wasn’t so long ago that we ourselves were stupid and stubborn, dupes of sin, ordered every which way by our glands, going around with a chip on our shoulder, hated and hating back. But when God, our kind and loving Savior God, stepped in, he saved us from all that. It was all his doing; we had nothing to do with it. He gave us a good bath, and we came out of it new people, washed inside and out by the Holy Spirit. Our Savior Jesus poured out new life so generously. God’s gift has restored our relationship with him and given us back our lives. And there’s more life to come—an eternity of life! You can count on this. Titus 3:2-4 (Message)
When my relationship is restored with God my relationship with others can be filled with faith, hope and love!
Peace and Joy!
