Facebook 2

Okay to be honest, I didn’t think I would like FB.  Who has the time?  What am I going to do with it?  What’s the point?

The point for me is community.  Community as in reconnecting with people that I haven’t seen or heard from in a long time.  Community as sharing photos.  A couple has had my children and friends laughing.  Community as in hearing from others what is going in their lives.  Some of our friends are grandparents!  Wow!  And community as in suggesting to a friend you might like to connect with this friend you have a common interest or you could help one another and then stepping out of the way.

I’m moving slowly at it for two reasons, time and learning curve.  If you have any tips for me I would love to hear how you are using FB.

Peace and Joy in Christ!

  1. I just started a FB account too. I have found it easier to keep in touch with all our family and friends now that we have moved out of state. You can spend only a few minutes to post an update and a few pictures and so many people you know have access to it which is easier and faster than sending multiple letters (although I still try to use snail mail when possible — it’s so much more personal). I’ve also reconnected with several friends I haven’t spoken with in years.
    Blessings,
    Cheryl
