A few years ago a new friend committed himself to Christ while we prayed together. What an incredible moment. Those are moments that I think about often. Although, we prayed together, he often tells me how his parents prayed daily for him to commit his life to Christ. Their fervent prayers were heard and what a transformed man he is today.
As we are praying for our friends, never for one moment doubt the tremendous influence and power your prayers are having before God. “But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him.” Acts 12:5
The early church refused to give up when Peter was going to be executed. Aren’t we glad to this very day, they prayed. There are so many glad that my friend’s parents didn’t give up on him.
Praying earnestly is taking God at His Word. Faith pleases God. Let’s hold our friends up daily during our 21 days of Prayer and Fasting for our Friends.
Let’s continue to pray and intercede for Israel after the savage attack by Hamas. Let’s pray as well for the children in Gaza who are suffering though no fault of their own.
Peace!
