Spiritual gifts test are used by many churches and para-church organizations to help people discover their ministries. We use them too and they are valuable tools of discovery. The best way to discover your spiritual gift is getting to know Jesus Christ better. It’s how the early church discovered theirs. They didn’t have spiritual gifts tests back then. The tests are helpful part of the process but to really discover your ministry, is to know God better.

One more thing there are passages of scripture that teach us about spiritual gifts, but there is not an exhaustive list. So if you don’t see a “gift” listed on the test that resonates with you don’t worry. Your unique and God will use you as you allow him.

Colossians 1:9–10 (NLT): “We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.”
