“The Spirit is God’s mark of ownership on you, …” (Ephesians 4:30, GN)

The Maker’s Mark in your life is the presence of His Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God that confesses that Jesus Christ came in flesh and blood to atone for our sins.

“Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.” (Hebrews 2:14–15, NLT)

“Here’s how you test for the genuine Spirit of God. Everyone who confesses openly his faith in Jesus Christ—the Son of God, who came as an actual flesh-and-blood person—comes from God and belongs to God.” (1 John 4:2, Message)

The Spirit of God who gives us the confidence to approach Almighty God as loved sons and daughters. We enjoy the love of a kind and gracious Father who richly shares with us from His unlimited resources. We choose to live by faith and not by fear because of our adoption.

“So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”” (Romans 8:15, NLT)

Above all, He calls us His very own! He has marked us with the presence of His life-giving Spirit.
