Creative Leadership #1

Godly leadership prayerfully looks up to the Lord in order to “hear, say and do what the Father is saying to our generation. It’s amazing how that knowledge enables leaders to do what leaders do best, look creatively into the future and visualize what the Father wills in heaven to be done on earth! Suddenly we are doing the things Jesus did, like loving the outcast, strengthening the weak, feeding the hungry, confronting the powers of darkness and defeating them! Soon that vision seizes others and they begin to see what we see, hear what we hear and do what we are doing! Those early disciples returned exuberantly and Jesus was filled with joy because they were catching the vision. Not perfectly but they were definitely being changed.

This type of leader makes time to wait upon the Lord prayerfully so that he/she can understand the will of God. Think of all that the Bible says that God has done. It was done with excellence, beauty, power, brilliance and above all love. It’s thrilling to me just thinking of it. Now imagine as you wait upon God prayerfully with your Bible, suddenly as you look forward you are able to see by faith what God wants to do in your situation in love, beauty and power!

Do you have a vision?
Do you keep a journal of your prayers?

Peace and Joy!

  1. “Suddenly we are doing the things Jesus did, like loving the outcast, strengthening the weak, feeding the hungry, confronting the powers of darkness and defeating them!” — I LOVE this! So good (and encouraging)!

~ I journal everyday (prayers & other stuff). Great advice!

  2. Every sentence of this post stirs something within me. The idea of looking into the future to see what the Father wants done on earth..to expect Him to lead us…to expect results …to expect God to share His own creativity with us just for the asking is so exciting I can barely take it in.
    Yes, I have a dream šŸ™‚
Yes, I have journaled faithfully since Feb 2009.
Thank you Pastor, I have a lot to think about!
