Happy Thanksgiving!

To think is to thank. My thoughts have caused my soul to rejoice spontaneously in all the goodness of God! I am overflowing with thankfulness arising from a heart of joy and memories throughout this past year. I am so thankful that we can know and rejoice in the Lord our God! At the end of this brief post, I list a few thoughts that have led me to thank. Feel free to skip them, but make a thoughtful list yourself today.

I can’t help myself. The Thanksgiving service at church was so joyful. Becky is in her happy place and I have had fun being her go to guy this morning. Our table is beautifully set for a feast. Everything smells so good. I’m having fun watching the Detroit Lions. We’re waiting on family and friend to gather with us today. I feel so blessed!

I’m thankful for you taking a moment to spend with me. Remember, I love you much!

Here are just a few blessings I’m reflecting on.

  • God’s mercy and kindness revealed in Jesus
  • The Bible. Reading Psalms 100 every Thanksgiving!
  • My godly and beautiful wife.
  • Our children including our four grandsons, and one being fearfully and wonderfully made in the safety womb.
  • Out parents.
  • Our church family bound together in the love of Christ.
  • Our friends
  • Our community.
  • This amazing nation that God shed his grace upon.
    • For the things that unite us rather than divide us after this divisive election.
    • For a Constitution that guarantees rights bestowed on us by our Creator.
    • For limited government.
    • For liberty!
    • For a land so blessed to feed itself and do many others.
  • Prayer partners.
  • Good books.
  • Ethiopia the birthplace of good Coffee!
  • Fried Chicken
  • German Chocolate Cake, Blueberry Pie, Banana Pudding.
  • Good health.
  • Our home.
  • The smell of Christmas trees
  • So much more!

Peace!

What a blessing it is to be a Christ follower in a free country where God has given each and everyone of us so much bounty. I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving with your family and now its on to the Christmas season. God bless my friend!
