I was given a kind compliment by one of my productivity heroes. “You are one of the most productive people I know. How do you do it?” Hoping that they realized how sincere I am about this, here is my secret. Matthew 6:33, “Seek the kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.” Let me show how you this has been the secret of productivity for me.
Worshipping God is my focus in life. Every relationship, dream, time, project, and financial decision flows from this. My priorities are tested by this. “So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.” (Romans 12:1, Message)
A righteous life is not a flawless life. For me to live righteously is to admit my sins, mistakes, faults, and receive God’s forgiveness and forgiveness from people that I offended. Living righteously also means to learn from the mistakes, and make amends where possible.
The promise I live and serve around is this, that God will provide. My life’s testimony is that God has done so much more than I could have ever dreamed. Everything that was impossible He has made possible. I haven’t had to waste time, energy, or worry others because, my Father has got this one life of mine!
Peace!
